We propose Goal Setting as a very important aspect for our students mindset: The goal of one day becoming a Black Belt is a big deal, something that they will carry for the rest of their lives. Commitment to excellence, we want all of our students to become a Black Belt apprentice: Becoming a 5 Elements Kids Martial Arts Black Belt goes way beyond the skills required on the mats; it’s about learning how to cope with obstacles in life, understanding that suffering is an inevitable aspect of becoming a stronger human being, it’s about realizing that commitment is the key to achieve any serious goal in life, that discipline is the key to success in accomplishing our goals, that good communication skills go beyond respecting their martial arts teachers and training partners, it goes into treating other family members, including parents, siblings and everyone they come across in life with respect. These pillars provide our students the foundation to achieve success later on in life, and 5 Elements Kids Martial Arts Black Belt program is exactly about these points mentioned above.
We have an evaluation program to asses the student, how we relate to each other and the parents, and determine if the student is ready to commit to our Black Belt system.
Our belt system begins with the white belt and goes all the way to black belt. All in all we have 16 belt levels from white to black.
As mentioned earlier, 5 Elements Kids Martial Arts contain the 5 Elements, and each Element has different belt levels.
Earth Element: Our students begin with the white belt and they advance within the Earth Element as follows: white, white/yellow, yellow, yellow/orange. Water Element: The belts are orange, orange/green, green, green/blue. We expect our students to begin their in-depth journey in terms of skills and applications for self-defense, as well as developing tremendous agility and reflexes. The character development trait is establishing respect with others as well as respecting themselves.
Fire Element: The belts in this stage are blue, blue/purple, purple. We introduce our students to actual combat in a safe and controlled approach.
